The Big Picture
As future innovations in Televic’s solutions will strongly leverage on data and AI, it is the ambition to build up an AI competence center across the different divisions starting with Televic Rail, the reference in on-board passenger information and mechatronic safety systems and Televic Healthcare, the reference in nurse call and care communication platforms.
Therefore, we are on the lookout for a data science/software engineer with a strong interest in data management and analytics and who is motivated to assist in setting up this competence center from a technical perspective.
You will define, investigate and implement new data management and processing architectures within our ecosystem and implement/integrate algorithms turning data into smart applications.
To do so, you’ll join a small team of technical leads and you will collaborate in research projects with academic and other industry partners. Help us offer superb quality and bring innovation to our customers!
The Details
In Rail, you will focus on anomaly detection in networks and in mechatronic measurements. You explore the possibilities of image analysis and natural language processing in a railway environment.
In Healthcare you will work on activity classification leveraging sensor data and recommender technology to make communication between patients and caregivers more context-aware and intelligent.
You conceptualize, design and build data analysis systems, and assist its integration in our software solutions.
You collaborate with engineering and product management on the long term data science roadmap and create the first demonstrators to proof its feasibility.
You participate in both national and international research projects where you collaborate with academia and other industry partners.
About You
Your focus on innovation and data sets you apart!
You have a Master’s degree or higher in the field of engineering (preferably software/ computer sciences) with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
You have solid understanding of data store technologies (e.g. MySQL, ElasticSearch, Cassandra), data processing technologies (e.g. Tensorflow, Spark,…), cloud technologies and you know the pitfalls of various machine learning techniques.
Knowledge of Python is required; knowledge of microservices & Restful APIs are a plus.
You are an effective communicator within and across teams.
