Televic Healthcare (THC) offers professional communication systems within the care sector for nurse call and recently launched a wireless call and localization system. THC wants to extend this system by developing new devices and applications.
In the future, nurse call systems will be extended with wireless devices and sensors interconnecting via Bluetooth Smart. This brings additional challenges for provisioning as they need to be securely paired with a gateway. One solution is to make use of a commissioning agent. This is an application running on a mobile device that is used to exchange security keys via NFC to the devices that is use to authenticate themselves.
In this thesis you design a mobile application running on a smartphone to facilitate a technician.
The student should be capable of:
Identifying/programming devices via NFC
Securely linking devices to a room terminal by setting up a BLE connection between them
Loading room templates
Load configuration to the devices
Having an interface in order to support and instruct the technician
Communicate with a server
