China and Belgium Strengthen Technological Ties During Special Event

Bruges, BELGIUM, June 28 – To deepen the relationship between Chinese and Belgian technology companies, the Governor of West Flanders hosted an event with the Chinese ambassador to Belgium and a select number of CEOs who maintain strong ties with Chinese technology companies. All parties explored interesting new avenues of collaboration during a successful event.

On Friday, June 28th 2019, Carl Decaluwé, Governor of West Flanders welcomed a Chinese delegation headed by Mr. Cao Zhongming, the Chinese ambassador to Belgium. Decaluwé also welcomed a small group of CEOs from West-Flemish companies who are active in China, notably in the technology sector. The event was held over luncheon with the purpose of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two nations and to facilitate the exchanges of ideas and experiences.

Lieven Danneels, CEO of Televic, was one of the attendees, since the Izegem-based technology  company owns two offices in China: a joint venture in Changzou and a wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai.
