As Planning Officer you participate in developing a vision for the Planning organization, looking at both, (SAP) ERP processes on the one hand and practical implementation & communication with stakeholders on the other hand. Together with colleagues, you prepare and roll out processes that ensure effectiveness & efficiency in terms of Planning & execution.
On a day to day basis, you are responsible for translating sales forecast, customer orders and other requirements into feasible short-term, mid-term and long-term production planning, as well as ensuring the timely execution of the schedule.
Working as a Planning Officer
You communicate on a regular basis with internal and external stakeholders (updates and reports).
You align with internal & external stakeholders on priorities and ensure the best possible utilization of resources.
You align the status of material availability and potential production problems with purchasing and ensure that equipment and materials are provided as needed.
You anticipate scheduling issues and their impact; timely escalate risks.
You create and maintain Planning related Master Data in the (SAP) ERP system
You monitor and manage appropriate inventory and (safety) stock levels of semi-finished goods.
You measure and evaluate KPI’s and general planning & production performance.
You continuously improve processes and performance.
Professional skills we’re looking for:
Relevant degree (Supply Chain/Business Management/Commercial or Industrial engineering…) with at least 3 years of relevant experience;
Some experience in purchasing/planning/supply chain/project management in a production environment;
Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
Good understanding of principles of manufacturing & production planning (i.e. MRP/ MRP II/LEAN/TOC/QRM/…) is an asset;
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Excel & experience in working with an ERP systems is an advantage.
