Televic Rail, responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining on-board passenger information and mechatronic safety systems for trains, trams & metro’s, is growing at an exponential rate. As Systems Engineer in our US branch office of Sacramento, CA, you are our technical expert involved in our pre-sales operations in North America. You are responsible for the local follow-up of our product range, ensuring and enforcing our strong competitive position. Due to your excellent communication skills, you ensure a strong collaboration with our product managers, R&D in Belgium and sales to guarantee that our solutions meet the increasingly complex demands of the customer and to generate new business opportunities for the broader rail market.

The Details

    You are our local technical expert in direct contact with prospects and consultants.
    You work in strong collaboration with our sales department in all our pre-sales operations (Technical review of RFP, Technical advises to prospects and consultants, product demo)  
    You give relevant input to the Research and Development department that can lead to innovative initiatives.
    You take the lead in collecting relevant market data (competition research, sales input, trends, regulation…) and integrate them into proposals for new product development.
    You document innovative product specifications, meeting the stakeholders’ needs and guaranteeing a competitive advantage.
    You participate with Sales in a variety of commercial actions (e.g. demos, webinars, road shows, trade fairs) to analyze the market needs and make sure these are translated into the right choices for further product development & design.
About You
    You have a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or electronics with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the US rail industry (Train builders, operators, system suppliers)
    You have thorough insight in the international market that is relevant for Televic rail: complex high-end B-2-B environment.
    You have extensive knowledge of hardware, software technology and applications; 
    Your commercial talent and analytical skills enable you to propose the optimal solution for our customers.
    You are fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.
    You are willing to travel in the US and Canada (20%). Sometimes Belgium to meet with HQ people
