The Big Picture
Televic Conference develops, manufactures and markets conferencing solutions to high-profile customers worldwide (e.g. United Nations, European Parliament, French Senate).
As technical writer you ensure that all technical communication regarding our products and solutions is accurate, up-to-date and accessible. From datasheets over quick start guides to manuals, you translate technical ideas and concepts to help our stakeholders understand and use our products efficiently.
In order to be successful in your job you collaborate closely with the product management team, R&D engineers and our product marketing specialist. You report directly to the product management team lead.
The Details
You plan, develop, organize, write and edit user manuals, datasheets, quick start guides, software manuals, etc.
You document and update architectural and engineering design specifications.
You draft product brochures with product management and marketing, and update/ style packaging of products.
You produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals and you update and maintain technical libraries (Revit, Visio, CAD drawings).
You format and maintain price lists and create calculator tools for customers.
You analyze documentation in terms of continuity of style, content and tone of voice.
It speaks for itself that you maintain a very good relationship with the engineer team.
About You
Experience in technical writing is a must!
You hold minimum a Bachelor degree and are highly interested in IT and technology and understand the importance of translating complex technical information into easily accessible and correct documentation.
You have great writing skills, especially in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
You are proficient in MS Office and have knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign). Knowledge of graphical software (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
You have excellent communication skills and know who to talk to to get the right information.
You have an eye for both the bigger picture and smaller details and you keep track of how content is used, reused, updated and published.
This position is also open on a part time basis.
