This Privacy statement is made available to you in order to make you aware of how Televic, collects and uses data obtained through any type of interactions with Televic (including meetings, calls, customer service, and Televic’s website).

1. What does the PrivaCy Policy apply to?

This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data obtained by Televic and its subdivisions, either via the Televic website, or via other ways such as face to face meetings, exhibitions, marketing campaigns, orders.

2. Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

Televic and its divisions are the data controllers. This means that Televic and its divisions determine for what purposes and with what means your personal data will be processed. That also means that these parties are responsible for the processing of your personal data.

3. For which purposes and on which legal grounds do we collect and process your data?

We will use and process your personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner.

We will collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • For client management purposes. It is necessary from a contractual perspective that we collect data to be able to communicate with our clients about the products and services they acquired.
  • For commercial (direct marketing, sales…) purposes to communicate about our company, products and services. In that case, we only keep and use the data for which the contact has given his consent. It is also possible that we send direct marketing emails to existing clients to inform that about our products and services, or similar products or services, based on legitimate interest. Alternatively, certain data may be held and used for other reasons of legitimate interest. For example, we maintain the data of the unsubscribes to ensure that we will not contact you any longer. 
  • For the recruitment of future employees, internships and/or thesis students. For these processing purposes, Televic relies on the necessity for the execution of a (future) contract and on its legitimate interest.

4. What information do we collect?

4.1. Any personal data you provide to us such as your first name, last name, job title, company name, e-mail address, phone number.

That data will be processed in the following way:

  • Information you provide to us with the aim of obtaining company, product or services information from us, or with the aim of signing up to a webinar/event that we (co-)organise, or for subscribing to one of our newsletters. That information will be stored to respond to your request for information or to perform the described activity;
  • Information you provide to us as part of a job application will be stored and processed by us for that purpose and will be processed with the utmost care;
  • Information you provide to us in the frame of contract negotiations or an order can be used for the follow up of that contract or order.

4.2. When you link up to the Televic website we automatically collect the following data:

  • Type of domain name used to gain access to the Internet (f.e. .com, .org)
  • The IP address attributed during the connection;
  • Duration of site/page visit;
  • Browser used;
  • The operating system or platform installed on your personal computer or the access device used;
  • Search engine and meta tags used to track the Televic website on the web;
  • Type and nature of files or information that has been downloaded.

5. Who has access to your personal data?

Televic nor its divisions will sell or make individual identifying information available to third parties.

Our employees shall only have access to your personal data where necessary to perform the contract and to provide services to you and as instructed by Televic as employer.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to establish contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs.

6. With whom does Televic share information?

Televic understands that you do not want us to sell, rent or lease your personal information to third parties without your consent and we only share your personal information with third parties in certain situations, such as:

  • sharing personal information with our service providers which are permitted to use that information solely in accordance with our instructions to provide requested services;
  • sharing personal information with our business partners, but only to the extent you have purchased or expressed an interest in a product or service of such business partner or interacted with or otherwise authorized sharing of your personal information with such business partner;
  • transferring personal information to a purchaser or successor entity in the event of a sale or other corporate transaction involving some or all of our business or as needed to affect the sale or transfer of business assets, or as needed for external audit, compliance or corporate governance related matters;
  • disclosing information (i) as required by applicable law, court orders, government regulators or legal process (including subpoenas); (ii) as necessary to protect the rights or property of Televic or this site; or (iii) in exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the site or other members of the public.
  • Televic shares your personal information with its affiliates for the purposes set forth in this Policy.

We do not transfer any personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Televic is committed to always ensuring an adequate and sufficient level of protection of your data.

7. How long do we keep your personal data?

Televic and its divisions will retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

If no legal retention period applies, Televic will process your data at least as long as it has a contractual relationship with you.

8. How are your personal data protected?

Televic is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in place to protect personal information about you.

9. Your rights

In accordance with the Act of December 8, 1992 as well as with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, you are entitled to request Televic to provide you with additional information.

You are also entitled to have access to your personal data and to have these data rectified in the event they would appear to be incomplete or inaccurate.

Finally, you are entitled to object at any time and free of charge to the further processing of your personal data by sending us a request by regular mail or email with a copy of your ID card to the address mentioned below.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of an alleged infringement.

The Belgian Data Protection Authority is the supervisory authority for Belgium and can be contacted at commission@privacycommission.be.

10. Your consent and changes to the privacy policy

By using the Televic website, and by ticking the consent box in our web forms, you consent to the collection and use of your information as we have outlined in this policy.

Televic may decide to change this privacy policy from time to time.

When we do, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
