Televic Healthcare develops and manufactures high end solutions for nurse call, intercom, access control, patient entertainment and care registration for healthcare environments.
Our state-of-the-art systems are adapted to the ever higher demands of an evolving market, and have been implemented in newly built and refurbished healthcare institutions across the world.
Televic Healthcare (THC) offers professional communication systems within the care sector for nurse call, patient localization and mobile alarming. These systems consist of many different types of hardware for which software has to be developed.
Patient rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art room terminals that have a 10" display, microphone and speakers and wirelesse connectivity (Bluetooth and WiFi). Next to this you'll find back handsets that also support audio.
Nowadays voice assistant became a common way to execute actions in our daily life. Solutions exists which THC devices could couple with e.g Alexa, Siri, Cortana, google assistant)
This could be brought on the AQURA 10" Terminal and/or AQURA smart handset, this would allow hospital & patient users to execute actions on voice level.
This can be very useful in the context of a patient who don't have easy way to execute actions with his body. Also useful for nurses to write text instead of typing everything manually on the 10" Terminal on-screen keyboard.
In this thesis you will first evaluate the technologies for text to speech engine, speech to text and voice assistants to support further interaction. You will implement this on an embedded Linux device. Finally a demonstrator on one of the use cases will be created.
