Nowadays voice assistant became a common way to execute actions in our daily life. Different cloud and local models exist for speech to text and text to speech engine. Recently, also large language models have gained interest the enhance the communication.
Within this thesis, the goal is to explore and implement a number of “voice-enabled” features and implement them on the AQURA 10" Terminal and/or AQURA smart handset.
This can be very useful in the context of a patient who don't have easy way to execute actions with his body. Also useful for nurses to write text instead of typing everything manually on the 10" Terminal on-screen keyboard.
In this thesis you will first evaluate the technologies for text to speech engine, speech to text and voice assistants to support further interaction. You will implement this on an embedded Linux device. Finally, a demonstrator on one of the use cases will be created.
