Flexible networked conferencing solution for NATO’s headquarters
The important role that Televic has played for the construction of a HQ with prestigious meeting rooms for the NATO.
To support its role as one of the most important institutions in the world, NATO built a headquarters in Evere, Brussels (Belgium). The construction of this HQ with prestigious meeting rooms, required a tailored approach with several challenges, under strict deadlines and with extreme security measures.
Centralized system
Together with AV integrator Axians, Televic equipped the building with a flexible, networked conferencing solution that allows NATO operators to control multiple conference rooms using a centralized system. One single conferencing network manages the audio and video distribution in meetings rooms of varying sizes, reducing the cabling needs.
Televic’s Plixus MME central multimedia engine provides all the processing and signal handling through a minimalistic user interface with direct access to all vital room control functions. Our modular CoCon meeting management software suite ensures smooth and easy management of even the most complex multilingual meetings.
Flexible set-up for simultaneous interpretation
The network setup is done in such way that interpreter booths can be flexibly assigned to any conference room. This allows NATO to extend the number of available languages depending on the requirements of specific meetings or conferences. The interpreters themselves benefit from optimal working conditions thanks to Televic’s latest ISO compliant Lingua ID interpreter desks.
Delegate units
Last but not least, all delegate stations in the meeting rooms are equipped with Televic’s uniCOS F/MM7 delegate units. With these devices, meeting participants have access to all audible and visual information on their own multimedia unit. They can speak, see, hear, and interact with delegate stations by combining video, audio, and document sharing on a 7" touchscreen.
