Renovated Council Chamber for the Municipality of Berkelland

Heuvelman has successfully provided the municipality of Berkelland, in the Netherlands, with an exciting new audiovisual installation. The council chamber's original audiovisual equipment was showing its age, failing to meet the current requirements. It was time for a much-needed upgrade to keep pace with the evolving needs of the municipality in conducting council or committee meetings.

The goal for new solutions was to cater to the needs of not only council members, committee members, and executives, but also residents and businesses. The municipality had a clear vision: the new audiovisual installation should not only be simpler and more user-friendly, but also deliver unparalleled reliability, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved.

Streamlined Meetings
The council chamber now features a state-of-the-art discussion system. Alongside designated discussion posts for council members, the chairman, and the clerk, the system includes interruption options at four locations and a lectern facility. These discussion posts also facilitate electronic voting. Additionally, new screens, an enhanced audio system for superior sound quality, and a meeting management system have also been installed.

Efficient Meeting Management
The meeting management system is integrated with the council information system, streamlining the meeting process and reducing the need for manual interventions. Agenda items are conveniently displayed on the system, enabling easy initiation of voting and providing digital access to motions and amendments.
