Installation & Update Procedure CoCon v.6.8.0.15
PLIXUS CRP v6.8.15 (2024-07-16)
Important note about the 6.8.15 update:
- A bug in the firmware of the NEXT devices has been resolved that was introduced in the 6.8.14 update. The consequence of this bug was that after reboot, the first microphone activation of each device could take multiple seconds. The 6.8.14 version has been replaced with the 6.8.15 update which resolves this issue.
- If you have previously upgraded to 6.8.14 and have NEXT devices in your setup, we highly recommend you to install the 6.8.15 upgrade to prevent this problem. If you are on a previous release you can upgrade to this version immediately.
Important note about Plixus:
- This software release will update the Plixus engine as well as all the peripheral equipment connected to it.
- The Plixus system includes two update files: Multimedia and Essential. When your system contains UniCOS and/or UniBOX devices please upload the Multimedia update file first, and then the Essential update file. If the Plixus system doesn’t contain these devices, you only need to use the Essential update file.

Important note about the 6.7.28 update:
- Hearing Protection has been improved for the Interpreter desks based on new
measurements methods and in preparation of the upcoming ISOCD20109 (Draft) standard section 5.1.7. The current settings include:- Warning signal consists of 4 repetitions of a 1 kHz sine, with on-time of 125 ms and off time of 125 ms, fade-out and fade-in periods reduced from 1.5 s to 0.5 s.
- Audio signal level during warning feedback is increased from 67 dBSPL to 80 dBSPL.
- Warning signal back off time set to 1800 s (30min) instead of 60 s.
