FAQs

Do you have any questions about our products, solutions or services? Perhaps we’ve already answered them in our frequently asked questions list below.

Advertisement Management

Can I integrate an advertisement module into the LiveCoM Suite?

Yes! In the LiveCoM Suite, you can establish a set of rules that determine when exactly ads are shown in passenger information playlists or storyboards. If some ads are only relevant at a certain time or in a specific location, you can adjust the display schedule accordingly.

Bear in mind that our passenger information systems will always prioritise passenger information over ads.

How do I avoid interference between ads and passenger information systems?

You can manage the PIS configuration and advertisement visualisation in two separate modules. As a result, you can put one team in charge of informing the passengers and assign advertisement management to another, such as your marketing or business development department.

Which advertisement formats does Televic GSP support?

The LiveCoM Suite’s advertisement module supports campaigns with both static images and video content.

Why should I include on-board advertisements in my fleet?

Studies in the UK have shown that 14% of all annual online expenditure comes from train commuters, and that 70% of commuters have purchased something after seeing an on-board advertisement. As such, integrating ads into your PIS can help you save costs or even generate additional revenue.

Passenger Information Systems

How do I maintain the same passenger experience in old and new rail fleets?

With our LiveCoM Suite, you can manage your passenger information systems for both old and new fleets from the same centralized system. To ensure a uniform passenger experience, we equip new fleets with the latest PIS software, and upgrade software in old fleets by means of a refurbishment project

What happens to the passenger information systems if the connection drops?

Our passenger information systems have been designed to keep working under challenging circumstances. If the internet connection drops, the system will continue to operate, using the latest data it received before the outage. Of course, new updates will be processed the moment connection is restored.

The same is true for data that needed to be shipped from the train to landside systems while there was no connection.

Which data can I use to improve passenger information systems and passenger experience?

Our passenger information systems provide clear information about everything that concerns the train, both on board and off board. These data relate mainly to the train itself, such as the vehicle layout, the current number of passengers, and the status of lavatories.

Additionally, landside systems provide other types of information, such as real-time updates on anticipated arrivals, available connections in the next station, schedule changes, etc.

Can I customise the LiveCoM Suite?

No, the LiveCoM Suite is a fully standardised out of the box solution with a wide range of functionalities, but no tailor-made application. This approach has many benefits for you as a customer, such as less risk of malfunctions and a shorter time to market.

Since we keep improving our solutions to suit ever-changing passenger expectations, the subscription-based model you buy today will continue evolving its features to remain tuned to the market’s needs at all times.

Do I need Televic GSP to change passenger information designs?

No. We keep you in the driver’s seat when it comes to informing passengers. The LiveCoM Suite enables you to independently determine which information is shown at a specific time. Feel free to add new media, change the overall look and feel of your displays, and reorganise your passenger information playlists

How can I make sure that passenger information is distributed at all times?

The LiveCoM Suite follows a cloud-first strategy, offering numerous benefits such as scalability, improved reliability, increased deployment speed, automated backups, etc. By digitising the information flows and bypassing IT management costs, you can focus entirely on your core business.

What does the multi-tenant cloud hosting service entail?

Televic GSP offers two SaaS solutions: ‘multi-tenant cloud’ and ‘single-tenant cloud’. The multi-tenant cloud solution guarantees the most recent and improved features at all times, along with stability and security updates. No need to worry about hosting or maintaining a server.

What does the single-tenant cloud hosting service entail?

Our ‘single-tenant cloud’ option is perfect for customers that require hosting in a specific region or a physically isolated environment. You can select a specific SLA level that best fits your needs in terms of availability and support.
